Community Orientated Partnerships with Law Enforcement

  • This program is designed to improve and assist in making the communities of Cherokee County a safer place to live and work through partnerships between the citizens and the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office. This program includes but is not limited to education, and materials, and any other items that may provide assistance to the citizens of Cherokee County to make our communities a safer place to live. This program is based on funding available through the Cherokee Sheriff’s Foundation. All entities of this program must meet with the unanimous approval of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Foundation Board of Directors.

Equipment and Training

  • This program includes but is not limited to the purchase of special equipment and training of the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office when funds are not readily available to better serve and protect the communities of Cherokee County. This program is based on funding available through the Cherokee Sheriff’s Foundation. All equipment and training must meet with the unanimous approval of the Cherokee Sheriff’s Foundation Board of Directors.

Fund Raising

  • This program is designed for the Cherokee Sheriff’s Foundation that includes but is not limited to community support, fund raising special events, capital campaigns, in-kind donations, government grants and grants from the public and private sectors. All funds raised through the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Foundation will be used solely for the purpose of the foundation based on the unanimous approval from the Cherokee Sheriff’s Foundation Board of Directors.

Emergency Aid Program

  • This program is designed but not limited to provide aid to sworn officers the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office who has been injured in the line of duty and their immediate family based on each individual’s needs. This program can assist in monetary funds or be in the form of other assistance based on the needs of the injured law enforcement officer or his family. This program is based on funding available through the Cherokee Sheriff’s Foundation. All monies or items accepted from the public to be designated to a fallen or injured officer or specific family in need will be met with 100% of the particular donation. All financial aid or assistance provided by the Emergency Aid Program must meet with the unanimous approval of the Cherokee Sheriff’s Foundation Board of Directors.

Non-Profit Outreach Program

  • This program includes but is not limited to the monetary support of public safety non-profit organizations. All donations are based on funding available through the Cherokee Sheriff’s Foundation. Donations to other non-profit organizations are based solely upon the discretion of the Cherokee Sheriff’s Foundation Board of Directors. All donations must be met with the unanimous approval of the Cherokee Sheriff’s Foundation Board of Directors.
